Growing up, my safe place was my bedroom. Even now I can think back and remember how cosy it was to be all wrapped up in bed! Whether your little girl wants a Disney princess room, or your boys want a dinosaur theme....there are simply hundreds of unique ways to create the perfect space for them! You may need to get a little creative, maybe get covered in some paint, but it will all be worth it to see the smiles on their are our top tips to get the most of of your kids rooms today!

Use fabric that fits the room’s style.

For the beddings, you can use one that match with the theme of the room Select your bedding to match the theme of the room as well as for comfort and if you have a Divan bed you have easy storage for all of your fabrics. Mix and match sheets, pillows and comforters. You can even have some extra pillows just for accent. Anything from chairs, rugs and bean bags are also options you could look into. Aside from that, you can also match the curtains. This can give the room a united, more distinct look.

Decorate the ceiling.

You can also make the ceiling suitable for a kid’s taste to by decorating it. One idea is to decorate the ceiling with glow in the dark items. They would enjoy staring at it while they are about to sleep. It would seem like they are gazing at the night stars. For the more creative you could do murals on the ceiling of maybe their favorite TV show, funky designs and patterns or space with small led lights.

Cover the flooring.

Making use of designs for the floor is a great way to make any kid’s room stand out. Weather its laminate flooring, hardwood or carpet there are plenty of ways to decorate the floor. You can look at things like coloured rugs, play mats and even vinyl designs. You can even get multi coloured carpet and laminate flooring.

Encourage creativity by adding a wide chalkboard stripe around the walls of your kid's bedroom. This is a cheap and affective way to add plenty of creativity to any kid’s room. It also comes with the added bonus of hours of fun and you can join in on drawing and make designs that are washable and easily cleanable. The best part is it doesn’t just have to be the walls, you can use this paint on most fixtures and fittings like lamps and tables too.

Wall boxes.

Wall boxes are another great way to make a child’s room stand out and cleverly add much needed storage to any kid’s room. They come in a wide variety of colours and sizes and shapes. Whether it be a rectangle, square, triangle or circle you can get any shape imaginable. You can even use the boxes to make 3D designs come out of the walls like a robot, the first letter of the child’s name and even simple cascading affects can make a room really stand out.
