When I woke up this morning, we still don't have electricity. It was gone I guess an hour before I stood up on the bed. Minutes later, the electricity went back, and I was delighted. I thought my son, and his niece can’t go to school today because how can I prepare their food if there is no electricity. I am using electric when cooking. When I started cooking, the sun started to shine, but on the very far distant, I could see the very dark sky from the balcony of the house. I never thought that the dark sky in a faraway would come until to our place.
When the kids were about to leave the house, the rain started to pour, but it was just fine drops of rain. I thought it won’t rain so hard because there was still light across the sky, but to my surprise, rains poured heavily. I was worried with my son and niece because they don’t have raincoats, but they were sent to school by my brother.
Because of the heavy rains, I was wishing that the principal would cancel the classes. A moment later, I heard the voices of my son and niece outside the house, and they were all so wet, including my brother. They said, the principal was standing at the gate and told all the pupils to go back home. The two kids were very happy, and they just gave their school bags to me, and they continued playing in the rain.
As I was sitting here in front of the computer, the computer table was swaying a little, and then my computer chair. I quickly stood up and went out of the room. I told them that there was an earthquake. Fortunately, it was not a strong earthquake. Whew! What an unpleasant Monday for all of us. We had brownout, heavy rains, and then earthquake. Well, we are still lucky because the rain had stopped and there was no flood everywhere.
