JLO’s “Dance Again World Tour”

I feel so unhappy when I saw on TV that JLO arrived in Manila on Sunday night. I was sad because I am not in Manila now. I wish I was there so I could watch her “Dance Again World Tour” concert on Monday that was yesterday, November 26, at the Mall of Asia Arena. I am one of her fans here in the Philippines, and watching her on stage live, is one of my dreams.

This “Dance Again World Tour” is her first headlining concert in her 13 years as a singer. Other countries that she started to visit and dance were Panama City, Australia, Central America, North America, Europe and Asia. Upon her arrival on Sunday, she tweeted her fans right away, and below was one of her tweets that the fans made them so excited.

Blue Water

I love this Blue Monday meme hosted by Smiling Sally, but it has been a couple of months I guess since the last time I joined this meme. I lost her link that is why I don't have post for this meme every Monday. Now, I am back, and I hope I could join this meme every Monday. And for my comeback post.. here are the photos from Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. I grabbed these photos from the album of my godchild on Facebook. I was so envious when I saw them having a good time in Palawan. They went to the famous Underground River in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. I wish I was with them.

If you love nature, you will definitely love the views while sailing on a boat.

I want a cell phone on my birthday

A few days from now, it's my birthday. My youngest son kept on asking me on what do I do on my birthday, or what do I prepare for that day. I actually don't have plans to celebrate my birthday for I need to save my money for my project. My project is to buy a cell phone like on the photo below. It has been more than a decade since I bought a cell phone for myself.

The cell phone that I have been using for years now was just a gift from a friend in Sweden. I don't have problems with my cell phone, but I wanted a new cell phone for myself. That is why I don't want to celebrate my birthday because I wanted to use the money for the cell phone and not for the birthday celebration. I know my son won't agree with this because he really wants me to cook for my birthday like spaghetti, mango float, cake and ice cream. I jokingly told him that I would just cook a biko,( a sticky rice cake), and he was not happy with this. He said, biko is food for the Holy Week, All Souls Day and All Saints Day. :) He made me laugh when I heard this. Anyway, I would probably prepare a little, so that Janjan will be happy for me.

Your Saviour this Christmas

If you're anything like me then you dread Christmas. I try not to be such a Scrooge every year. I sit down in front of the television, baileys in hand and watch Christmas show after show in an attempt to find the Christmas spirit. I go for walks holly picking in the countryside, I settle down for afternoons in country pubs, I visit my family and attend all the various functions this time of the year brings. Still, one part of Christmas plays on my mind. The presents. The thought of shopping makes my knees tremble. This time of the year is especially troublesome for those of us with partners. The whole ''will he/she like this?'' anxiety followed by the anti-climax of what happens when she or he opens the gift. The fake smile and the 'Oh I love it..' or the brutal, cutting honesty of ''It's the thought that counts.'. Well this year, no longer. Treathim.com and treather.com have a wide variety of gifts for the struggling partner.

A wonderful aspect of the products at treathim.com and treather.com are the personalised gifts available. From cufflinks and wallets to cuddly toys and perfume atomisers the website has a range of items that can be personalised with messages. The added thought of a message can make the difference between a present that will be stuffed away in a cupboard and a gift that has a level of sentimental value.

Or how about a gender neutral message in a bottle? The message in a bottle comes packaged in a handsome treasure chest gift box. It has a parchment with whatever message you desire written on it, rolled up and stored in a bottle full of sand and sea shells, for that authentic look! The perfect Christmas gift this year, a way to tell your partner how much you love and appreciate them. So why stress? This year will be the year where you recover the Christmas spirit you once had. Good tidings to all and to all a good night!

Searching for a Real-Property

A world of natural freedom and healthy pleasures; a place that the children could also play like a private park that only residents could use the park, is what I want when I am doing a property search. There are lots of real estate developers here in our place nowadays. When you go to the mall, you could see these real-estate agents offering their newly develop properties. Since the city is too crowded now, they usually develop properties away from the city, but still the places are accessible for transportation.

Well, whenever a new village or subdivision develops, transportation follows. I actually have found a very nice place to live. It is not too far from the city, and the amenities of the village are enough for family not to go out when you want something for pleasures. How about you, what kind of property you like when you look for a place to live for good? Is it near from the city, beach line property, or near the mountain? Well, wherever it is, what is important is that, you have to choose where your family is safe.

Happy Birthday To My Bestfriend

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Happy, happy birthday to my BFF who is currently living in Manila. She is actually the godmother of Janjan, and it was Janjan, who reminded me that today is his Ninang Jean's birthday. When we were still in Manila, we usually celebrate our birthdays together for it's only a couple of days, then it's my birthday too. Mareng Jean was my partner in singing. She has a nice voice when it comes to singing. We also partner in judging a singing contest during our barangay fiesta. Mareng Jean is just like a sister to me. When she had problems, I am her crying shoulder, and even if we are not together now, we never forget to text each other, or talk on the phone during her vacant time. So, to my bestfriend, and kumare, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, and I hope to see you again so soon. Cheers! Mareng Jean.

Coats and Jackets Through the Decades

It’s winter again. It’s getting frosty. It’s getting rainy. It’s getting foggy and cold. So why not consider purchasing a new winter coat.

If you are a fashion follower, you will be more than aware that the vintage look is very much fashionable at the moment, so I decided that I would look at a number of coats that are reminiscent of days gone by.

1900

The first coat in this article reminds me very much of Victorian detectives, such as Sherlock Holmes. It has an air of intelligence and looks very classical and earthy. You can just imagine seeing it being worn whilst smoking a pipe whilst riding a horse. We can imagine stately homes and wealthy animal lodges when gazing upon and indeed wearing this coat.

 1920
This gorgeous red coat is a perfect example of the sort of coat that you would have seen many a woman wearing back in the 1920’s. it musters up a feel of nostalgia, from simpler times. Times when women were beginning to fight for their right to have their say. A time when women were becoming empowered. A time when women were becoming more feminine and more powerful.

1940’s
This beautiful vintage style coat is very reminiscent of the decade. It reminds me of the sorts of coats the honourable detectives would have worn in the typical 40’s style film noire crime dramas. In making this coat, the designers have managed to make the iconic trench coat something that looks feminine and that women are happy to wear.

1960’s
This fourth coat is identical to something I would imagine the likes of Jackie Kennedy wearing during the 60’s. you are bound to feel as admired as the first lady whilst wearing this beautiful piece.

1980’s
This final piece ends our journey, landing us in the 80’s. a time of partying, music, glitter and garish but equally stylish fabrics. This jacket is a great example of 80’s inspired fashion! It has the iconic shoulders and the disco style fabric, but is made in such a way that it doesn’t offend, unlike its 80’s counterpart.

All of the coats shown in this article come from Fever Designs London.

Karaoke at Home

zwani.com myspace graphic comments
Yeah, right. I got annoyed with my neighbor again this morning. I was working here in front of my computer for I want to update some of my blogs, plus I was busy reading the instruction on how to claim my other blogs from Google. And this annoying neighbor, they started singing with their karaoke as early as 8:00 o'clock in the morning. It was rainy morning, oh well; it rained the whole day, but the neighbor didn't mind the weather. They kept on singing, and the bad thing was; they turned the volume louder this time. I couldn't tell them to slow down their karaoke because it is daytime and not night time. So, what I did is to stop writing, and I login on my Facebook, and I released my annoyance on FB by posting it on my wall. Now, it's 9:00 o'clock in the evening, and I am glad that they stopped singing before it started the TV program Princess and I. By the way, the house of that annoying neighbor is just in front of our house.

It's Manic Monday Again.

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

It's another manic Monday again. I woke up at 4:00 in the morning for I need to press the school uniform of my son. I wasn't be able to do it yesterday for it wasn't dry yet, so I had to hang it in front of the electric fan the whole night. I cooked for breakfast; prepared the lunch box, clean the kitchen after my son has gone to school. I wanted to clean the whole house, but I have to run at the bookstore, as soon as they opened for I need to buy a crepe paper for my son’s school project, and I need to give it to him before 10:30 this morning.

When I get out from the house, the sun was brightly shining. It’s hard to see around without wearing sunglasses, but that is okay. Sun light, sunshine, sunburn is better than a freezing draft that chilled me to the bone. Now, it’s already 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon, which means it’s time to work in the kitchen again for tonight’s dinner. I don’t know yet what food do I have to prepare for my family.

Gifts for Groomsmen

It has been a long time now since the last time I attended a wedding ceremony. It was my cousin’s wedding, and even if I was not feeling well at that time, I had to attend the ceremony because my youngest son, who was seven years old at that time, was the Bible bearer. Next month, it is my eldest son, who will be one of the groomsmen of his friend’s wedding. The groom is our neighbor actually that is why my son couldn't say “no” when he was selected to be one of the groomsmen.

Now, the mother of the groom asked a favor from me if I could look for a gift for her son’s groomsmen. I have been searching for unique groomsmen gifts and fortunately; I have found it online. I saw engraved bats, and I thought my son would surely like this because he likes baseball, and he used to be a baseball player when he was in high school. He could display this baseball bat in his room’s wall. So guys, if you have been searching for a groomsman gift, then check out the link that I have provided. I am certain that you could find a perfect gift for your men.

A gift that I wanted to receive on my birthday

I started making a list for gifts for this coming Christmas holiday a few days ago, and I have noticed that most gifts that I need to shop are for kids. There are only few adults in my list, and these are my parents, brother, and my eldest son. I know what to give to my son and brother. Just a simple or personalized t-shirt will do.

Anyhow, as I was surfing on the net a while ago, I have found an ideal site for buying gifts, especially this coming Christmas holiday. The horse themed gifts would be a perfect gift for those who loves equestrian designs. Honestly, when it comes to home décor such as paintings, wall frame décor, horses are on top of my lists. I have horse’s paintings in our home in Sweden, and here in the Philippines. I also made seven horses cross stitch design; I framed it and until now; it is still hanging to our wall. I would be very happy if somebody would give me a horse themed gift this Christmas or on my birthday, this month. I would surely treasure his or her gift to me. Anyway, if only I have extra funds right now, I would surely shop for this horse's design again.

Horoscope for Sagittarian

This is my first time to read a horoscope on Yahoo. I don't know why my eyes caught this page. I read horoscopes, but usually, I read it on newspapers, and not online. It is fun reading a horoscope, sometimes it fit to what happened to the past and not on the future. Sometimes, they gave you "lucky" numbers, and I tried to bet those numbers, unfortunately; the psychic got wrong. Those were not my lucky numbers ha ha. Anyhow, here's the reading for the Sagittarian people for this month.
Sagittarius
The planetary configurations shall make you feel powerful and invincible this month. But you should keep yourself firmly grounded, says Ganesha. Even though you will be elevated to a higher level of independence, you would still respect people. You won't need anybody's favours now. Some things may still require attention, though. You would be seeking directions to use your new-found power. You should be patient and careful in all your dealings. Avoid restlessness and keep your distance from frustration. The solar eclipse on 13th will bear an effect on you, and may change your outlook towards spirituality. You shall be receptive towards changes. The lunar eclipse on 28th may, however, put your relationship under strain; only the stronger ones may survive. Best days of the month: 6, 7, 14, 15, 23, 24.
Anyway, when reading a horoscope, just read it for fun and don't take it seriously for there is only one person who knows our future, and that is our Creator.

Have a Happy Sunday Everyone

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

I thought I could relax today, but I remember that today is the last day of the school break. I need to prepare my son's school uniforms and all his things for school. I also need to shop foods for his lunchbox. Well, I know what he wants, so it is not hard for me to look for food for his lunchbox. The only problem is, I am sure that the lines in the supermarket's cashier or counter will be very long again. I would be lucky if there are only few shoppers today, but that would be very impossible because most moms usually shop on Sundays, especially if they have students at home. So, I have to stop now, and I will fix myself, so I can shop before the rain comes.

Wonder Omelet Sandwich for Breakfast

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Wonder bread for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

What’s for breakfast? Wherever we are in the world, the same question arises when we get up in the morning. Our first meal of the day is as diverse as language, as intimate and meaningful as the way we look forward to what the new day brings.  For my family, during weekdays, I just prepare our morning meals that are easy to prepare, a breakfast that my kids would surely love.  Egg is a precious breakfast, so I usually prepare Wonder Omelet Sandwich using the Wonder bread for my family.

Anyway, here’s the recipe of my family’s favorite breakfast.

Wonder Omelet Sandwich

Ingredients:

4 to 6 tablespoons butter, at room temperature, plus 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

16 slices Wonder® bread

     - Use Wonder Classic White bread if you are craving for calcium

     - Try Wonder Made With Whole Grain Wheat bread if you are craving for whole grains.

 8 thin slices cooked ham

6 eggs

8 slices cheddar, American, or Swiss cheese

3 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1 cup crushed cornflakes or potato chips

Salt to taste

 Preparation: (In the evening)

Butter lightly one side of each slice of bread, and then top 8 slices of buttered bread with a slice of cheese and a slice of ham. Now, top with a second slice of bread, buttered side down. Arrange the sandwiches in a greased 12 x 18-inch open roasting pan or 11 ½ x 17-inch jelly-roll pan. Whisk all together the eggs, mustard, milk and salt, and pour it slowly over the sandwiches. Cover the pan and refrigerate it overnight.

Preparation: (In the morning)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Mix together the cornflake crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle over the top of the sandwiches. Bake but remove the cover for 1 hour; or until golden brown.

Before anything else, the Smartwhite for kids was launched only this summer, and they offer a nutritional advantage with the delicious taste, and the soft texture that the kids would surely love. It is baked, free from high-fructose corn syrup, and it has 50 calories per slice only. In addition, it’s fortified, and has 100% fiber the whole wheat bread, and it contains calcium equivalent to an 8-ounce glass of milk, and is an excellent source of nine essential vitamins and minerals.

No wonder why this bread has been called as The Sandwich Wonder-izer! Wonder bread has been known for over 90 years, and your family will always love them for they maintain the nutritious, delicious and the softness of the bread, but now, your family would surely love the other 20 different varieties of the Wonder Bread. If you want to make your own sandwich or looking for recipe using the Wonder-izer!, “like” Wonder bread on Facebook, or “follow” Wonderb, or use the @wonderbread handle on Twitter.

Nontoxic Ways to Clean Your Home

Cleaning our home, office, clinic is essential for it helps us to be free from illnesses. Clean environment means healthy living. Anyway, if you wanted to save money for your cleaning tools and materials, there are many ways on how you can save your money. Here’s the laundry list of inexpensive and efficient cleansers from an environmental specialist. Many of these ingredients are probably on hand.

For floor cleaner for wood, tile or linoleum, put two gallons of warm water in a plastic pail, and add one-eight cup of liquid soap or detergent and half-cup of white vinegar. You could also use these cleansers for rug cleaning.
For glass cleaner, in a spray bottle, combine half teaspoon of liquid soap or detergent, three tablespoons of white vinegar and two cups of water.
For dusting and polishing wood, moisten a cotton cloth in a bowl containing half teaspoon of olive oil and quarter cup of white vinegar or lemon juice.
For air freshener, put a few slices of lemon, orange or grapefruit in a pot of water. Simmer gently for one hour to fill your whole house with a citrus scent.
However, for offices, clinics, schools, etc., you need to hire a reliable cleaning company that could maintain the cleanliness of your surroundings. Just make sure that this cleaning company is environmentally friendly. I would highly recommend the Green Choice company for they only use green cleansers. They accept carpet cleaning, rug repair, leather cleaning, and mattress cleaning to name a few. You may ask for a free estimate by calling them on their land line phone number.
