My Brown Tops for Thursday Brownies

Here's another photo at People's Park, Davao. Actually, there was a man-made waterfall at my back, but since it was dark already and there were no lights at the waterfalls, so it's hard to spot the waterfalls on the picture. I want to go back there in a daytime, so I can take some snaps on the rocky waterfalls.

This photo was taken when there was a "The Bloggers Geek-up". They called this place as Yellow Haus. It was Vernz who took this picture of me. I have met the Davao Bloggers Group, and from the Bisdak Group, I've met Crislyn and her husband, and then Rovie. I've met Vernz a few months back. These ladies are awesome. I am glad that I have met bloggers in person here in Davao. So, I can tell now that we are friends' online and offline.

Me at People's Park

Janjan and I went to the park Friday afternoon, and we stayed there for a couple of hours. We were lucky because the management turn on dancing fountain, and it played for an hour I guess. Actually, it was not planned to drop by at the park. We were actually looking for shoes for his soccer game. His classmate bought his soccer shoes at the mall near to the park. And since we were there already, I asked Janjan if he likes to go at the park nearby. Anyway, we had lots of photos on that day. I will post it for the other memes I have joined.

Happy Weekend

Just a quick post everyone.

I just got home from the mall with my son Janjan. We watched "Odd Parents" show, oh, he watched the show I should say. I was just in a corner and waiting for him. The kids enjoyed so much watching the Odd Parents mascot characters. Actually, the kids had their costumes too, but Janjan was shy to wear cartoon characters' outfits. I actually asked him if he wants a costume also, but he doesn't like it anymore. Uh! Oh! Janjan is not a kid anymore. He's 10 years old now, and soon he will not go with me. Sigh!

The Street

Last night, when Janjan and I got off from the jeepney we rode, we run as fast as we could because it was raining and we don’t have an umbrella. We’re supposed to drop at the grocery shopping store, but I had a second thought because of the rain. In addition, I was in a hurry to get home because I wanted to watch my favorite evening TV program. As much as possible, I don’t want to miss even just one episode of “100 Days to Heaven.” So, instead of getting off in front of the store, we drop off at the place where we could get a second ride going inside to the village where we live. Luckily, we got home earlier so I was able to watch my favorite TV program last night. Below is the photo where we dropped from the jeepney last night, but this photo was taken a few days ago when Janjan had his hair cut at the barber shop.

The Band

When Janjan and I went to the mall, we saw this band playing at the entrance of the mall. There were people watching so, we also stop for awhile and listen to their music. I noticed the blue wall, and some on their music instruments, so I took out my camera and did some snap.

The Neighbor

While I was doing my laundry this morning, this annoying neighbor made me went crazy again. He played his music so loud again. I have been telling him not to turn so loud his music because it is like our house was shaking because of the vibrations. But then this young man, who loves rock music, will only listen and follow for a few minutes or an hour, and then he will turn it loud again. Anyway, I have done my laundry, and Janjan was asking if we can go to the park later today. Well, the weather is good and there is no sign of rains so probably we can go later today. I will just continue my blogging activity when I come back.

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!

Affordable Phone Company

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you have family living outside the place where you live, the only thing to get connected with your family is to have a reliable telecommunication company. My brother lives abroad for over a decade now. He calls very seldom because of the charges he got when he received the bills. Sometimes, he will just buy a prepaid card to save a little money. As expected, the quality of the communication is not good. I guess it’s time for my brother to switch at Straight Talk. Have you heard them?

Well, Straight Talk International Long Distance Service is a flexible prepaid calling service that enables you to make international calls from your home, cell or office phone at low rates. They have Unlimited Plans for you to avail with a monthly rate of $45 only, or avail the whole year service for only $499.00. Is it sounds good? I am sure, it is.   They provide nationwide coverage with excellent and high-quality communication connectivity and there are no extra charges, no contracts and no need to check your credit standing. Everything you need will be provided when you switch to Straight Talk. So, Call a friend now and enjoy the excellent service of the company. If you are not yet convinced with me, try visiting Hook, line and sinker

Pink Orchid

I so love this pink orchid. I took this photo last month at the back of SM Mall here in our place. It was for sale, but I have no plans to buy it because the price was too high for me. I was just glad that the seller allowed me to take photos of their flowers.

Anyway, I am also offering this flower to the souls of 9/11 victims. May their souls rest in peace.

Frugal Moms

Most moms, especially for unemployed moms and will just wait for her husband’s payday, when they shop, as much as possible, they wanted to save a little money. Honestly, I am a mom, and I have two mouths to feed, so whenever I shopped, I will look first if there are promos, discount coupons, or any sale. However, I wouldn't buy things that I don’t need even if it offers a great discount. Most of the supermarket here offers a discount card for you to earn a little while you shop. By earning points, you could get cash back from the things you shopped. Life is getting harder nowadays, so having a discount card from the stores either online or offline is a great advantage. Anyway, I have found another online store that offers discount coupons. I actually bookmark the site so I could easily open it if I have something to buy. I tell you, the site is very useful for us moms. In order not to be left behind with the latest product that offers discount coupon, you just have to check everyday for new offers. Life isn’t that easy, therefore, I would suggest to be frugal and penny wise. So, if you are looking for a site that offers discount coupons, you should check the link that I have provided.

I am lucky that I have a straight long Hair, that even if I just got up from the bed, my Hair wouldn't be like a zombie just like the curly hair of my cousin. I know my hair is not as healthy when I was younger, so I have to take care of it. I did hot oil to my hair twice a month, and trimmed it once a year.

The Float

Here's another photo from the Kadayawn Festival last month. The design of this float was a big fish because the people who designed and made this float were living near the sea, and probably some of them are fishermen.

Pink Roses

I am glad that I am back. I mean my internet connection was cut since Wednesday afternoon. I called the office, and they said it was connected on their end. They fixed it and had told me that it will run again within the day. Thursday came, but I still don't have the internet connection. And this morning, I called again and had told him that I still don't have the connection. We repaired by following his instruction, and I am glad that it is working after trying so many options.

Anyway, it's time to post our pink photos, so here's my entry for today. Pink roses which I took a few weeks ago.
