Homemade Solutions for Cleaning

I found these cool cleaning tips for your home today, and you can get these items in your home. I never tried it yet, but I know and I am sure, these are effective, and inexpensive. This is better than buying those strong chemicals and bleaches that are not good to our environment. So, here are some cool cleaners that are earth-friendly to the planet.

1. Super scourer: Mix 1/4 cup baking soda with 1/2 cup white vinegar. The baking soda softens hard water, deodorizes, cleans and scours. In addition, the vinegar removes grease, stains and wax buildup. You can use this for cleaning kitchen surfaces and bathroom tiles. For more difficult scrubbing tasks, such as cleaning the toilet bowl, mix ¼ cup baking soda with 1 cup vinegar.
2. Mold buster: Mold, which grows in dark and damp places, can cause allergy or even trigger asthma. They have no place in a clean home. To zap this health risk away, mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts water in a spray bottle. Spray this solution where mold grows, such as in the bathroom, or under the kitchen sink and leave to dry for an hour. Rinse the area off.
3. Posh polish – Freshen up your furniture with a solution made from a few drops of natural lemon oil added to a few cups of warm water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray the well-mixed polisher onto a damp cloth and apply on your furniture. Let dry and buff lightly with a soft, dry cloth.
4. Window washer - leave your windows shiny and streak-free with a solution made with ½ cup vinegar and 1 gallon of water, or ½ cup ammonia and a gallon of water.
