Chicken Barbeque

My brother in Canada emailed me just to ask the ingredients of my chicken barbeque here. Every time he misses our foods here, he asked for the ingredients of it. He also likes my fresh fruit shell salad, Filipino style spaghetti and even my pancit canton (noodles), oh he loves those. So, I emailed him back and I gave this simple Filipino style chicken barbeque.

Barbeque Chicken in Oyster Sauce


1/2 kg chicken thighs
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp chopped spring onions
1 tbsp ginger strips
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp sesame oil


1. Marinate chicken thighs in the remaining ingredients for about 4 hours.
2. Grill in charcoal or on an electric grill. Brush chicken with marinade every once in a while to prevent drying. Serve with favorite pickle and hot rice.
