Certified Gold

Are you a gold lover? Do you like collecting gold coins? My brother in Canada invests in mining gold here in the Philippines because he believes that gold is a great investment. But what about investing gold coins that have unique designs? Would you like to invest in this kind of treasure? Most Filipinos love gold as a form of investment, as gifts to heirs and their loved ones when they pass on. It can also help to solve your problems in times you need some extra money. Gold never seems to depreciate. It always goes up.

GoldCoinsGain.com is an online store for gold and gold coins. If you are an investor and you love to invest in gold or gold coins then this site will guide you and show you multiple unique designs that I am sure you will love and want to have. And if you are looking for something you can invest in for your future plans, then I would suggest investing as gold is the best. As I told you, gold just never depreciates. This is a kind of investment that you don’t need to watch from time to time. Just keep it in your safe boxes and you’re done. No need for bookkeeping. Sometimes we called it here, sleeping treasures because you never work for it just to have a good ROI. So, why not try now to visit their site, read everything from there so you will understand more about investing in gold. Once you have it, you will never regret it.

Rainy Saturday

It’s a bloody rainy Saturday here. When we woke up this morning, the sun was so bright until we ate our lunch, but later in the afternoon while I was here at my computer, the rain came. At first it was just an ordinary hard rain. I had clothes hanging in the sunshine so I went out just to get the clothes and then I remembered our dogs. The female dog just delivered her puppies so I went to the dog house and put an extra cover in front because it is open. And then I went back inside the house. In just a couple of minutes, a very strong wind came. Gosh! It was a really strong wind that made our door in the kitchen begin banging so hard, curtains in the windows were flying and the branches of the trees outside were dancing, then I heard my mother shouting and calling my name. I went outside with my big umbrella but gosh, my umbrella turned like a satellite. My mother and niece were laughing when they saw me holding the umbrella that looks now like a cable antenna or a satellite. My mother called me because the cover that I put to the door of the dog house fell on the ground and the rains were getting inside. So, I put back the cover and I was looking for something heavy to put on top of the dog house so that the cover will not fly because of the wind. I was so wet and feeling very cold and because it was so cold, I kept on yelling while running and looking for a big piece of wood or something. I was like in a panic mode but I was just shouting because it was so cold. I feel that it helps me to lessen the cold if I will shout. I just shut up my mouth when thunder struck so strong. I was in a hurry then even if I can’t stand straight and my knees were trembling and shaking because it was so cold and I was scared with the thunder too. Gosh!! Bloody afternoon, I said.

After all the things were done at the dog house, I went to shower and I changed my clothes and sat again here at the computer. As usual, because it was not shut off when I ran outside, so I just continued clicking the EC. OMG…I waited for so long but it didn’t open. The internet connection was gone…grrrr…You know what I feel??? I feel so bad, very bad. The rains continued, strong winds, thunder and now lightning altogether. The sky was so mad just like me. Mother told me to prepare candles, flashlight and matches in case the electricity will be cut. Well, luckily, no power was cut this afternoon. The rains continued but no more thunder and lightning. While waiting for the rain to stop, I and my son played cards while my niece was watching her Ice Age for a hundred times I think.

What do you think of my weekend? Was it exciting?

Michael Jackson "The King of Pop" dies

When I opened my mail today, I was shocked with this news…Michael Jackson died on Thursday in a Los Angeles hospital. He suffered a cardiac arrest earlier Thursday afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. When paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Read below the full detail of the report.

By NEKESA MUMBI MOODY and DERRIK J. LANG, Associated Press Writers Nekesa Mumbi Moody And Derrik J. Lang, Associated Press Writers

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the record-breaking, sensationally gifted "King of Pop" who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world's most influential singer and dancer, and the tabloid world's most disturbing celebrity, has died. He was 50.

A person with knowledge of the situation says Jackson died Thursday in a Los Angeles hospital. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

His death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

May his soul rest in piece....

The Clever Italian Mathematician

Hope I can make you smile or laugh today with this joke........It was my friend in UK who sent this joke to me. Hope you like it too.

An recent Italian immigrant to New York wanted a job, but the foreman won't hire him until he passes a little math test.

"Here's your first question," the foreman said. "Without using numbers, represent the number 9."

"Without numbers?" the Italian says, "Dat is easy." And he proceeds to draw three trees.

"What's this?" the boss asks.

"Ave you got no brain? Tree and tree and tree make nine," says the Italian.

"Fair enough," says the boss. "Here's your second question. Use the same rules, but this time the number is 99."

The Italian stares into space for a while, then picks up the picture that he has ust drawn and makes a smudge on each tree. "Ere you go."

The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to represent 99?"

"Each of da trees is dirty now. So, it's dirty tree, and dirty tree, and dirty tree. Dat is 99."

"All right, last question. Same rules again, but represent the number 100."

The Italian man stares into space some more, then he picks up the picture again and makes a little mark at the base of each tree and says, "Ere you go. One hundred."

The boss looks at the attempt. "You must be nuts if you think that represents a hundred!"

(You're going to love this one!!!)

The Italian leans forward and points to the marks at the base of each tree and says, "A little dog came along and crap by each tree. So now you got dirty tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree and a turd, dat make one hundred. So, when I start?"

Parents Responsibility

What are the responsibilities of the parents toward their children? Is it just giving them food everyday, to have a roof to sleep under, to look over them and teach them right?

A few days ago, I was talking with my husband’s Godchild named Chelsea here in our place. She’s so cute and very talkative. She talks a lot, quite fluently at her very young age. She was wearing a cute sexy dress when I saw her and she was holding a family photo album. I greeted her and appreciated her outfit. She smiled but her eyes were lonely. I asked her who was on the cover although I knew who was on the cover of the album, she said, it was her bad daddy. I said why “bad daddy”? She said, her daddy is bad because he pointed a gun to her mom and luckily when the gun went off, her mom didn’t get hit. I thought she was just telling a story from a movie but when I asked her grandmother, it was all true. The father of the child is now hiding in Manila after that incident because he was haunted by the police for having a gun that is not his, and he is also sued for attempted murder.

Why is it that some parents didn’t mind if their child/children were listening or watching them when they were fighting. Arguing is part of the family life but it is not good if you both are doing it in front of the kids. You might make them scared. I know, nobody is perfect in this world. No Mommy and Daddy is perfect but we are trying to be the best parents to our children. It’s a lot of work to do that but once you do it right, they will surely love you and will be there for you when you’re old.

I am addict....

I have been writing on my blog now for over 6 months, because it was December 2008 when I started to make a blog. At first, it was so hard for me to create my blog. I didn't even understand the terms used here like html, tag, code, meta/beta etc. It was like I was in the dark looking for the lights. It was not so simple to learn everything here but little by little, I learned a few things by reading articles everyday in the blogosphere. Since English is not my native tounge, I needed to sometimes read it over and over again to try and understand the whole thing. I sometimes saved the articles to my documents just to read it back again if it is about blogging.

One thing I learned today is that blogging can be addictive. Yes, I am addicted to it now. As much as possible, I don't want to go out of the house. I just want to sit down in front of my computer. When I wake up in the morning, since the computer is here inside my room, I turn it on before going out of the bedroom and doing some morning chores. Right now, since the school has started already, I will prepare first my son's food and things for school. I can only start blogging once my son is in the school already.

Blogging is fun and at the same time I earned a little money here by reviewing products or services. But sometimes, I can tell that blogging makes me crazy. Like, I was in the bathroom doing my things there, while in there, my mind was busy thinking and wondering of the things that I wanted to write to my blog, not knowing that I've been there for nearly an hour and I forgot already that I need to finish something in there. There were lots of times that I overcooked our food because of blogging. I was busy doing blog hopping, leaving a message to their shoutboxes and then I smelled something wrong in the kitchen. Alas!!! it was my food turned black already..haha So, the next time I cooked, I turned the fire on a very low heat but still the same, I almost forgot it again. I wish I will one day have a laptop so I can bring it in the kitchen and continue blogging while cooking. lol. Am I an addict now?? Yeah, I think so. I wonder how many of you have the same experience as me. Well, whatever it is, I love what am I am doing right now and I will not stop reading blogs that talk about blogging. I just hope that one day I am a successful blogger.

Mother knows best….

Give your children a good start in life.

I have a 4 years old niece who has an irresponsible mother. My niece stayed with her mother when she was 2 to 3 years old but when my brother, the father of the child, visited my niece at her mother’s place, my niece was so thin, skinny, with big round eyes, very dark and she was malnourished. My brother and the mother got separated a few years ago. When my brother saw her child, he felt pity for her. He brought his child back here to our house. My brother takes care of her now but since my brother has to work, he lets his child watch television the whole day. My brother used the television as a babysitter. I told him that watching TV the whole day is not good for the child but he didn’t listen to me. Since he is not here during the day time, I talked to my niece that TV is not good. I explained to her the disadvantages of watching television for hours. I am not sure if she understands me or not but I gave her an assignment or things to do for her not to remember to turn on the television.

Television can be a wonderful learning tool for your kids. However, sitting in front of the tube for hours on end is taking its toll on the bodies and minds of your kids, robbing them of opportunities that can foster creativity, learning, and social interaction.

What can parents do to reduce the time their children spend watching television? These are the suggestions that can help us parents to help our kids not being able to watch TV for a couple of hours.

  • Set limits on when and how long your child can watch television each day.
  • Avoid using the television as a babysitter. Instead, involve your child in doing household chores as much as possible.
  • Select the shows your child can watch and turn off the television when the chosen shows are over.
  • Whenever possible, watch the selected programs with your child and talk about what you see. Finally,
  • Limit your own television viewing.

Nurturing creativity and social skills in children takes time, determination, and self-discipline. The positive results are worth the effort.

Philippine Independence Day

Thanks to Vhing for reminding me and giving me this Operation Meme 111. We, Filipinos should not forget this very important event in our country.

Happy Independence Day to all Filipinos.

"The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in the Philippines, where Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo (later to become the Philippines' first Republican President) proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain after the latter was defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. The declaration, in the form of a proclamation, in the presence of a huge crowd, was done on June 12, 1898 at the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo between four and five in the afternoon in Cavite el Viejo (now Kawit), Cavite, some 30 kilometers South of Manila. The event saw the unfurling of the National Flag of the Philippines, made in Hong Kong by Mrs. Marcela Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo and Delfina Herboza, and the performance of the Marcha Filipina Magdalo, as the Nation's National Anthem, now known as Lupang Hinirang, which was composed by Julian Felipe and played by the San Francisco de Malabon Marching band."

Tiny Coconut

Have you ever seen a very small coconut? Yes, so small it's like the head of the newly born baby? Yes it is true. When my father got home from my uncle’s house, he was holding three pieces of round, dark brown like the coconut skin. I asked my father what were those three things and he said a coconut. I was not thinking that it was really coconut because of the size. I said, wow, a tiny coconut. That was the first time I saw a tiny coconut. My father named that coconut but I forgot it already since it was sounds unfamiliar to me.

Father peeled the skin of the coconut and when I saw the coconut shell, oh so cute, such a very tiny coconut, so I hurriedly went inside the house and got my camera and I took pictures of these three tiny coconuts. I took close-up shoots but they were actually the size of a newly born baby head or maybe a big man’s fist.

Personalized Kid's Backpacks

My kids are back in school. Classes started only this week. That’s the reason why I have not been able to visit my friends here for these past few days. My youngest son who is in grade II is so excited to go to the school because of all the new things again for his school stuffs like his personalized kid's backpacks. I like his new backpack because there is enough space for his books, notebooks and even with a lunch tote already. Unlike his old backpack, there was no place for his lunch box. And I also put his name to make sure his brother will not borrow his backpack. The design has a colorful border design and with a Mint’s signature fabrics.

Since I am talking about bags here, there’s my laundry bag in the house. I like it because it has a shoulder strap and it makes it so very easy to bring this to my laundry area even if it is full, and the fabric is also made of Mint’s signature fabrics. It has also cool border designs that make your laundry bag attractive. Next week, I will be a godmother again so I want to get a baby's memory book as a gift to my soon to be godchild. All these stuffs from personalized backpacks, laundry bags, and baby's memory books can be found in one site only. So, why not try it now, and visit posylane.com and see what you can get from there.

Lost in Reincarnation...

My friend sent this to me to my mailbox today. When I read it, I found it so funny. Here it is….

Lost in Reincarnation...

One night, Tom does what he normally does --- he kisses his wife, crawls into bed and falls asleep. All of a sudden, he wakes up with an elderly man dressed in a white robe sitting next to him!

"What the heck are you doing in my bedroom...and who are you?" he asked.

"This is not your bedroom," the man replied. "I am St. Peter, and you are in heaven."

"WHAT! Are you saying I'm dead? I don't want to die! I'm too young," said Tom. "I want you to send me back immediately."

"It's not that easy", said St.Peter. "You can only return as a dog or a hen. The choice is your own."

Tom thought about it for a while, and figured out that being a dog would be too tiring, but a hen would probably have a nice and relaxed life. Running around with a rooster can't be that bad.

"I want to return as a hen," Tom replied.

And in the next second, he found himself nicely feathered and in a chicken farm. But now he felt like his rear end was gonna blow. Then along came the rooster.

"Hey, you must be the new hen St. Peter told me about," he said. "How do you like being a hen?"

"Well, OK I guess, but it feels like my butt is about to explode."

"Oh that!" said the rooster. "That's only the ovulation going on. You need to lay an egg."

"How do I do that?" Tom asked.

"Cluck twice, and then you push all you can."

Tom clucked twice and pushed more than he was good for, and then 'plop' an egg was on the ground.

"Wow" Tom said. "That felt really good!" So he clucked again and squeezed. And you better believe that there was yet another egg on the ground.

The third time he clucked, he heard his wife shout:

"Doggone it Tom! Wake up! You're messin' up the bed sheets again!"
