Music and Me #4

What is your dream..........Well, this is Leah Salonga's dream. From her "The Little Tramp" musical show. I love this song very much. Hope you like it too.

Make your own fruit shakes...

Last night, we had our Avocado shakes after supper. I just mixed the avocado fruit, milk, sugar, and an ice cubes and put altogether to the blender. That’s it, as simple as that. My sons enjoyed the shakes. And this morning, they requested a mango shakes since mango right now is cheap. But for mango shakes, I want to add vanilla yogurt on it. What do you think is it yummy? I never tried it so I don’t know yet if it is good or not. I will tell you later if it is good and yummy.

Back to School

Just a few more days and we are back to school here. School vacation has almost ended but my youngest son is not yet ready for school. Classes open on June 1st for Elementary and High School level while College starts on June 8, 2009.
My youngest son is now in Grade II and he will be turning 8 in July. Time goes by so fast. I still remember that he was just wearing diapers before and he can’t go out of the house without me. He always wanted to be with me wherever I go or wherever he would like to go. But now, everything has changed. He can’t stay in the house the whole day. If you will let him stay in the house, he will surely make trouble with his little cousin or do something that you would rather let him to go out than to stay in the house. What a boy!
I also have 4 year old niece but this little girl is so excited to go to the school. She keeps on asking her father, who is my brother, to buy now her school things like bag, paper, pencil, crayons etc. She will be in Nursery…

Tell me, "Who is perfect in this World....?

A few weeks ago, while I was doing my rounds here, I landed on a blog that talked about discrimination. While I was reading her blog, I felt so sad because she was being discriminated in the country where she lives right now. This woman speaks English very well. Even if I didn’t know her personally, I can tell that she is smart, intelligent, brainy, and down to earth. Her blog will tell you how smart she is. Her blog has a great content, she always has an interesting post or topic and I also learned some English from her. And then she was discriminated in the place where she lives right now? She was discriminated just because of her color? She is not white because she's maybe 90% Filipino in blood but in her heart and mind, she is 100% Filipino.

Why there are some people who discriminate against other people? Even here in the Philippines, even if you are both Filipinos, there are people who judge you by your looks. Just like at the World Of Filipinas, I am a member of that …

Music and Me #3

It’s Sunday again.

I will give you a song that I hope I can inspire you and will remember you to count our blessings from our creator. I really love this song of Gary Valenciano, our very own actor/singer. He gave great inspirations to everybody by singing his songs especially this song. The title of this song is “A Warrior is a Child”. His diabetic person for a long, long time now, but because of his strong faith to the Lord, he is still doing well and all his family serves the Lord. Watch the video and listen to his song and feels every line of this song. Have a great weekend.

Lovely Award

I got Lovely Award “again” from my friends here in the blogosphere. I had already this Lovely Award from my other blog. Now I want to believe Amy, the first one who gave this award to me, that I am really lovely, lol because there were two people giving me the same award to me. Wow! I feel so lovely now while I am typing this lol. Thank you so much to my friend David of Basic Bloganomics. A blogger, who is always present to my blog, thanks and I appreciated it so much. And to my new friend here named czaroma of A Woman Remembers. The first time I visited her blog, it was her url that caught my attention. I like it. Of course, the whole page is clean and well written and even if we’re just new friends here, she gave this lovely award to me. Anyway, congrats to your make-over and I think I will buy that magazine.

Senior Citizen Privileges

My mother gave me a small brochure about the privileges of being a senior citizen here in our country. She wants me to read and search on the Philippine website about how to avail of all these privileges.

The government released an “Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2003”. These privileges include:

1. 20% discounts on hotels, restaurants, drugstores, hospitalization and all other medical problems and even funeral services.
2. 20% discounts to all public transportation like busses, taxis, jeepneys and even domestic air and sea fare.
3. 20% discounts to all movie theaters, concerts, carnivals etc.
4. 20% discounts to all basic needs in a family like laundry and bath soap, sugar, salt, toothpaste etc. And the most important that I like or maybe everybody will like this is…
5. 50% discounts to all the bills like electric, water and phone bills.

Wow, 50% discounts on these bills?? I said. Why didn't we know all these things? Well, it’s not too late, so I told mother that she mus…

What is Plagiarism?

I got this tag from David Funk, a great friend of mine here in the blogosphere and I think we need to post this tag because we need to protect ourselves from the people who are not scared to steal our work. I was not aware of all these things but when I read David’s blog, I said, oh wow, why they can’t make their own articles for their blogs. So I hope you will help us to spread this tag.

What is Plagiarism?

According to Dictionary , Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.

To all Bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a Blog which is a reflection of who she / he is, ” Good job! ”
To those who have the desire to Blog but are merely scraping contents from other people‘ s materials, ” Whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money…

It's Monday again

I woke up early today but didn't want to get up from the bed. It seems like I don't have things to be done today. Honestly, today is the first day that we, the parents of the pupils will go to the school for cleaning the room and surroundings of our kids rooms. It is a compulsory task of the parents every opening of the classes. Classes will start on June 1st.

After talking with my husband on the phone this morning, I went straight to the shower, got dressed quickly because I want to visit my friends first here in the blogsphere and make some drops to my EC. Luckily, my EC inbox was still working and I can still see people who dropped my EC. When I made 100 drops already, I stopped and left home for school. I got home at lunch time and I bought fried chicken for our lunch. I should be back at school after lunch but the hard rain came, so, I decided to stay in the house and I will just go back at school tomorrow morning.

Because it was raining hard, my bed, just beside t…

Music and Me

Music Sunday
Well, here in the Philippines, it is Sunday night already but to the other parts of the world, they just started their day today. So, maybe it is not yet really late to post “music and me” tonight. So, here’s my song for tonight.
She’s now the new international artist here in the Philippines and she just finished her 1st concert at the MandalayBay in Las Vegas only in May 09, 2009.This 16 year old girl started only in a singing competition here but didn’t make it to the finals.Anyway, here’s her own version of “All By Myself” which was also sung by Celine Dion, her idol.

I like the voice of this little girl. She sings with her heart and soul.Go..go..goCharice!!!….Watch the video and listen the powerful voice of Charice Pempengco.

Where are my EC drops.

What happened to Entrecard this morning.... I was doing my rounds, dropping EC to my droppers and I have almost 300 drops already but it was all gone and went back to zero..WHY????. I have Entrecard installed to my toolbar because I am using Firefox. To my toolbox I was still online but to the blogs I visited, it said that I need to log-in. Oh! I was thinking that there was some trouble with my internet connection but when i visited other websites, it was working, so I confirmed that EC has trouble and not my computer or my internet connection. Gosh! I wish the drops that I made this morning are already credited to their system.

Well, as I was typing this, my EC is back to zero and I am starting again dropping EC's to my inbox. Hope the system is okay now.

Personalized Key Fobs

Finally, no more rain here. It’s been raining for a couple of days and I don’t like to go out of the house if it is raining. I am so glad today that the rain has stopped. I can go out now and go to the mall to shop or to window shop. I love window shopping. When I was there already at the mall, I saw a wrap key fob. It was nice but I didn’t like the color and the design. I was wondering if I can find a nice wrap key fob here on the internet. So when I got home, I went online hoping that I can look for a nice wrap key fob. Well, maybe it was really my day because I found a website that has lots to offer. I found a personalized key fob. You can personalize your key fob and you can also choose the fabric that suits your tastes. They have two attractive sizes, the wrist size and the mini.

They also have monogrammed towel wraps which is perfect for a gift because it is monogramed then she will never forget that you’re the one giving that gift. The nine colors are all attractive…

Online Dating

It’s been raining here for a couple of days now. This morning, I was so lazy to get up and I still wanted to sleep because of the rain. My kids were sleeping too with the blanket all over their bodies. I only got up when I heard my mother calling my father and telling him the time because they have an appointment I think for their senior’s citizenship program. Gosh, I hurriedly got up when I heard that it was 8:10 in the morning already and I have a date with my husband today at 8:00 o’clock. Again, I was late to our date lol and he always understands that. I am just lucky because he always understands me although I know that he is sometimes disappointed with me for being late to our date. You know what our date is? It is to chat on the internet lol because we can only chat during his off days from work and that is Monday and Tuesday only but we talk on the phone everyday. I just wish he will retire soon so he can move from North Carolina to the Philippines for good.

Personalized Bath Wrap

I went to the shower this morning and I noticed that my towel bath wrap is already old and the color has started to fade. I was thinking to go shopping at the store to look for another, but the time I have to go out is limited, so I decided to do some online shopping. While I was surfing, I found this site. They have personalized bath wraps. I said, wow, you can personalize your bath wrap and the colors are nice too. I was thinking to get one for me and for my future sis-in-law because it’s also good for a gift and then I’ll put my name on it so she can remember me always. They have nine colors to choose from, and the wraps are available in three sizes.

Aside from that, If you are looking for die cut stickers , wedding/party favors and or corporate gifts, then you can find it here also. If you want to put stickers to your gifts, like for birthdays, a baby shower, or just to remind a person how special she/he is, you can get it here and choose different cute designs that will suit…

Music and Me

I am sure you know already that there are blogs writing songs every Monday and they called their group as Manic Monday. I once joined this group but I was deleted because I didn’t submit a song to the one who hosted this idea because I don’t know how to submit it. So, I decided to make my own music day since I love music but definitely it’s not Monday and I will title this article as Music and Me and I will post this every Sunday, starting today because today is Sunday here. I will only post music or songs that I like and I just hope that you will like it too. Since today is Mother’s Day, I will give you a song that you can dedicate to your mother and tell her that if not for her, you’d hardly be anywhere. And to all moms in the world, this song is for us.

Happy Mother's Day

Every mom's out there, have a great day, relax and have fun. Enjoy this Beautiful and Wonderful, Mother's Day. I sent you breakfast in bed.

My little boy is now a big boy

While I was making my coffee one morning, I remembered my youngest son when he was just 2 years old did a good thing to me.I was making my coffee at that time and because it was still hot, I just left it on the table and I went to our room for some things to be done. When I came back to the kitchen, my son told me that he was done.Done for what I asked, he said "tapot na" in a baby talk means "done".So, I just ignored him and I sat at the table without thinking anything and I sipped to my hot black coffee.Gosh, I almost blow my coffee in front of him because it was so salty. My son put the iodized salt to my coffee, that's what he meant when he said "tapot na" or "done" in English. He put the iodized salt thinking that it was white sugar. Will I be angry with him or not, of course not because he saw  how I make my coffee every morning.Well, I just told my son that he did a good job to me while I was holding my laughter.

Automated Answering Machine

Monday afternoon, when we got home from my son's Taekwondo training at school, I went straight to my computer because I was not able to do my rounds to my blogs that morning, because I was busy with my little business. When I opened it, I didn't have an internet connection, so I checked the connection and it was disconnected.I tried to reconnect it but it didn't work so I called the hotline office for the problems that I had here. When I dialed the number, I was happy because it was ringing; I was expecting already that hotline numbers are always busy.Just a few rings, the phone was answered by an answering machine asking if I want English or Filipino language and asked me to press 1 if it is in English and press 2 if it is Filipino, so I pressed 1.There was an automated answer again telling me to what to do next or pressing the number regarding my problem or inquiry, so I pressed the designated number for my problem.Again, for the 3rd time, it was still an automated answeri…

Birthday Greetings For My Brother

May 3, was my brother’s birthday, but he is not here in the Philippines . His name is Roy, and he is living now in Toronto , Canada with his family for more than a decade. I remember when he was still a kid and he saw a white blonde hair little boy and he heard it talking in English, my brother called me and said, “Ate (Filipinos way of calling the eldest sister, pronounce as AH- TE), look at the little boy and listen, he speaks English very well and when I saw the boy, he’s a foreign boy so I told my brother they speak English because that is their language. And then he wished that one day he can speak as good as that boy in English.

Years passed by and now he’s living in a place where English is the major language. His little dream when he was a kid becomes reality now.

And to Roy …Happy returns of the day. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Wish your dreams will all come true.

Pacman - Hatton

I want to be the first one to shout......

Pacquiao annihilates Hatton!

By Andreas Hale at ringside

There’s no question who is #1 pound for pound. Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) destroyed IBO light welterweight Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Hatton came out aggressively but was dropped by twice by Pacquiao in round one. In round two, Pacquiao dropped Hatton for the count with a left to the chin. Time was 2:59. Hatton was down for several minutes.

Skin Care Protection

How do you take care of your skin from the heat of the sun? Do you have any protection for your skin when you go out and expose yourself to the sun’s harmful rays? If you do care for your skin, I think you need to know the basic needs on how to protect yourself from the damaging effects of the sun.
These are a few of the simplest ways on how to slow down the signs of aging skin.1. Use high SPF (Sun Protection Factor) sunscreen lotion, preferably with zinc oxide or titanium oxide to protect you from the harmful rays of the sun. This sunscreen lotion is not just for summer days or to protect you at the beach. You can use it anytime if the sun is so hot.2. Eat a proper Anti-Aging Diet like vegetables and fruits daily and fish high in omega-3s three times a week to help your skin keep from aging from the inside out. Drink plenty of water too and eat a fiber-rich diet to reap the most benefits for your skin.3. Anti-Aging cream and moisturizer; this is an important part of an overall, anti-…
