Last night, we had our Avocado shakes after supper. I just mixed the avocado fruit, milk, sugar, and an ice cubes and put altogether to the blender. That’s it, as simple as that. My sons enjoyed the shakes. And this morning, they requested a mango shakes since mango right now is cheap. But for mango shakes, I want to add vanilla yogurt on it. What do you think is it yummy? I never tried it so I don’t know yet if it is good or not. I will tell you later if it is good and yummy.

Just a few more days and we are back to school here. School vacation has almost ended but my youngest son is not yet ready for school. Classes open on June 1st for Elementary and High School level while College starts on June 8, 2009.
My youngest son is now in Grade II and he will be turning 8 in July. Time goes by so fast. I still remember that he was just wearing diapers before and he can’t go out of the house without me. He always wanted to be with me wherever I go or wherever he would like to go. But now, everything has changed. He can’t stay in the house the whole day. If you will let him stay in the house, he will surely make trouble with his little cousin or do something that you would rather let him to go out than to stay in the house. What a boy!
I also have 4 year old niece but this little girl is so excited to go to the school. She keeps on asking her father, who is my brother, to buy now her school things like bag, paper, pencil, crayons etc. She will be in Nursery level. I just wish that she’s good in school just like my two sons. I never had a problem with my two boys in the school. They always gave good grades to me. And on Monday, June 1st, we will start waking up early again around 5:00 o’clock in the morning, from Monday to Friday. (Sigh) I still want to sleep at that time but I have no choice and it’s my responsibility to send them to the school.

Why there are some people who discriminate against other people? Even here in the Philippines, even if you are both Filipinos, there are people who judge you by your looks. Just like at the World Of Filipinas, I am a member of that site. This site is for Filipinos who married foreign husband/wife or soon to get married with the foreign nationals. Before I was so active with that site but later I was disappointed and unhappy because there were some Filipino women that I feel they didn’t like me because I am not yet in the States or to the place of my husband. It seems like they only talk with members who are already in the foreign land. Can you call that discrimination? But in fairness to this site, I found friends there and some of them are my teachers in blogging. They helped me and encouraged me to create a blog.
Back to the topic of discrimination above, if you want to know how this smart woman felt discrimination in the place where she lives right now. Click this “I love-hate America ”. She is actually my friend here and she’s from Davao City also. That is why, I was not happy when I read that somebody in the States discriminates against her.

I will give you a song that I hope I can inspire you and will remember you to count our blessings from our creator. I really love this song of Gary Valenciano, our very own actor/singer. He gave great inspirations to everybody by singing his songs especially this song. The title of this song is “A Warrior is a Child”. His diabetic person for a long, long time now, but because of his strong faith to the Lord, he is still doing well and all his family serves the Lord. Watch the video and listen to his song and feels every line of this song. Have a great weekend.

My mother gave me a small brochure about the privileges of being a senior citizen here in our country. She wants me to read and search on the Philippine website about how to avail of all these privileges.
The government released an “Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2003”. These privileges include:
1. 20% discounts on hotels, restaurants, drugstores, hospitalization and all other medical problems and even funeral services.
2. 20% discounts to all public transportation like busses, taxis, jeepneys and even domestic air and sea fare.
3. 20% discounts to all movie theaters, concerts, carnivals etc.
4. 20% discounts to all basic needs in a family like laundry and bath soap, sugar, salt, toothpaste etc. And the most important that I like or maybe everybody will like this is…
5. 50% discounts to all the bills like electric, water and phone bills.
Wow, 50% discounts on these bills?? I said. Why didn't we know all these things? Well, it’s not too late, so I told mother that she must go to the offices of these companies and ask the requirements on how to avail of these privileges. So, for those Filipinos who are living here in the Philippines, or have a family here in the Philippines and the bills in your house is under the name of your senior citizen parents, then it’s time for you to avail and get these privileges by getting a senior citizen ID from your local city office. It is really a big help for us.

I got this tag from David Funk, a great friend of mine here in the blogosphere and I think we need to post this tag because we need to protect ourselves from the people who are not scared to steal our work. I was not aware of all these things but when I read David’s blog, I said, oh wow, why they can’t make their own articles for their blogs. So I hope you will help us to spread this tag.
What is Plagiarism?
According to Dictionary , Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.
To all Bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a Blog which is a reflection of who she / he is, ” Good job! ”
To those who have the desire to Blog but are merely scraping contents from other people‘ s materials, ” Whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money out of someone else’s work. Otherwise, you are nothing but a common thief! ”
Feel free to grab this tag guys...this is for all of us here.

After talking with my husband on the phone this morning, I went straight to the shower, got dressed quickly because I want to visit my friends first here in the blogsphere and make some drops to my EC. Luckily, my EC inbox was still working and I can still see people who dropped my EC. When I made 100 drops already, I stopped and left home for school. I got home at lunch time and I bought fried chicken for our lunch. I should be back at school after lunch but the hard rain came, so, I decided to stay in the house and I will just go back at school tomorrow morning.
Because it was raining hard, my bed, just beside the computer was inviting me to lay down there lol. So, instead of doing blogging again, I laid down and took a short nap, that's what I thought, just a short nap. It was 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon when I got up and it was still raining but not a hard rain anymore. It was just a steady rain. I went to the kitchen and I was looking for something to eat and I wanted something hot. Unfortunately, no hot food to eat in the kitchen, so i just made my coffee. So, while I was enjoying my coffee, I sat in front of my computer and started doing my blogging again.

What happened to Entrecard this morning.... I was doing my rounds, dropping EC to my droppers and I have almost 300 drops already but it was all gone and went back to zero..WHY????. I have Entrecard installed to my toolbar because I am using Firefox. To my toolbox I was still online but to the blogs I visited, it said that I need to log-in. Oh! I was thinking that there was some trouble with my internet connection but when i visited other websites, it was working, so I confirmed that EC has trouble and not my computer or my internet connection. Gosh! I wish the drops that I made this morning are already credited to their system.
Well, as I was typing this, my EC is back to zero and I am starting again dropping EC's to my inbox. Hope the system is okay now.

I am sure you know already that there are blogs writing songs every Monday and they called their group as Manic Monday. I once joined this group but I was deleted because I didn’t submit a song to the one who hosted this idea because I don’t know how to submit it. So, I decided to make my own music day since I love music but definitely it’s not Monday and I will title this article as Music and Me and I will post this every Sunday, starting today because today is Sunday here. I will only post music or songs that I like and I just hope that you will like it too.
Since today is Mother’s Day, I will give you a song that you can dedicate to your mother and tell her that if not for her, you’d hardly be anywhere. And to all moms in the world, this song is for us.

Just add the "1128" after the rklivengood.
I change it because I can't get a PR from Google and the old url was banned I think from google, that is why I can't get a PR from them using http://www.rklivengood.blogspot.com. So, I made a change and I hope it will work now. Hope you'll give time to edit my url to your list. I understand that it is another work from your side that's why I apologize for the changes. Thanks to you all.
While I was making my coffee one morning, I remembered my youngest son when he was just 2 years old did a good thing to me. I was making my coffee at that time and because it was still hot, I just left it on the table and I went to our room for some things to be done. When I came back to the kitchen, my son told me that he was done. Done for what I asked, he said "tapot na" in a baby talk means "done". So, I just ignored him and I sat at the table without thinking anything and I sipped to my hot black coffee. Gosh, I almost blow my coffee in front of him because it was so salty. My son put the iodized salt to my coffee, that's what he meant when he said "tapot na" or "done" in English. He put the iodized salt thinking that it was white sugar. Will I be angry with him or not, of course not because he saw how I make my coffee every morning. Well, I just told my son that he did a good job to me while I was holding my laughter.

This is actually the blog of my husband. He is not really active in blogging because he has work. He only have little time for blogging and I was so happy when I saw his latest post about me and my brother playing tennis. My husband brought me a tennis racket and a tennis balls. He also brought my golf clubs from the states. I love these games but it's hard to learn especially the golf.
Click the link above so you can read the whole story.
The first thing I did this Tuesday morning, was to open my computer to check and see if I have my internet connection back again. Oh, I was so happy to see that I have my internet connection, so I went to my Entrecard and did some dropping but it was just few drops because the light was cut. Gosh! Brownout! I feel so bad because I have my internet connection again but I don't have electric, how can I work. Well, that's life, it's like a wheel turning, and sometimes you're up and sometimes down, sometimes good and sometimes bad.

Monday afternoon, when we got home from my son's Taekwondo training at school, I went straight to my computer because I was not able to do my rounds to my blogs that morning, because I was busy with my little business. When I opened it, I didn't have an internet connection, so I checked the connection and it was disconnected. I tried to reconnect it but it didn't work so I called the hotline office for the problems that I had here. When I dialed the number, I was happy because it was ringing; I was expecting already that hotline numbers are always busy. Just a few rings, the phone was answered by an answering machine asking if I want English or Filipino language and asked me to press 1 if it is in English and press 2 if it is Filipino, so I pressed 1.
There was an automated answer again telling me to what to do next or pressing the number regarding my problem or inquiry, so I pressed the designated number for my problem. Again, for the 3rd time, it was still an automated answering machine offering their other products and services like prepaid cards, landline phones etc., and telling me again to press the number regarding to my problem, wow, I said, this will be my 4th time now pressing numbers…so, I still did because I want to know why I didn't have an internet connection. When I pressed another number again, this is where I heard "Visayas and Mindanao will be experiencing difficulties with your internet connection. Please be advised that the network reconnection is currently ongoing. We assure you that the service will be normalized and made available as soon as possible" Gosh! I want to talk with a human being and not an answering machine so I pressed another number again for the 5th time, and this time, nobody answered the phone because it's an operator's number, lol. What a nice business. Did you also experience like this? If so, how do you feel about it? I will be happy if you will share your experience here.

May 3, was my brother’s birthday, but he is not here in the Philippines . His name is Roy, and he is living now in Toronto , Canada with his family for more than a decade. I remember when he was still a kid and he saw a white blonde hair little boy and he heard it talking in English, my brother called me and said, “Ate (Filipinos way of calling the eldest sister, pronounce as AH- TE), look at the little boy and listen, he speaks English very well and when I saw the boy, he’s a foreign boy so I told my brother they speak English because that is their language. And then he wished that one day he can speak as good as that boy in English.
Years passed by and now he’s living in a place where English is the major language. His little dream when he was a kid becomes reality now.
And to Roy …Happy returns of the day. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Wish your dreams will all come true.

Pacquiao annihilates Hatton!
By Andreas Hale at ringside
There’s no question who is #1 pound for pound. Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) destroyed IBO light welterweight Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Hatton came out aggressively but was dropped by twice by Pacquiao in round one. In round two, Pacquiao dropped Hatton for the count with a left to the chin. Time was 2:59. Hatton was down for several minutes.

How do you take care of your skin from the heat of the sun? Do you have any protection for your skin when you go out and expose yourself to the sun’s harmful rays? If you do care for your skin, I think you need to know the basic needs on how to protect yourself from the damaging effects of the sun.
These are a few of the simplest ways on how to slow down the signs of aging skin.
1. Use high SPF (Sun Protection Factor) sunscreen lotion, preferably with zinc oxide or titanium oxide to protect you from the harmful rays of the sun. This sunscreen lotion is not just for summer days or to protect you at the beach. You can use it anytime if the sun is so hot.
2. Eat a proper Anti-Aging Diet like vegetables and fruits daily and fish high in omega-3s three times a week to help your skin keep from aging from the inside out. Drink plenty of water too and eat a fiber-rich diet to reap the most benefits for your skin.
3. Anti-Aging cream and moisturizer; this is an important part of an overall, anti-aging skin care program. The cream must have one of two key ingredients, Matrixyl or Argireline.
4. If skin especially on the face is totally damaged now and has lots of wrinkles, talk to a dermatologist.
Steps 1, 2, and 3 are just so simple, right? My friends asked me why I still have good skin even if I am in my early 40’s. Well, steps 1, 2, and 3 are my secrets.
It’s never too early to start an anti-aging, anti-wrinkle skin care plan. And it is also never too late to slow down the signs of aging skin — and even take steps to reverse them.
