Window Shopping

Do you like window shopping? Only this Sunday, my youngest son and I went to the mall just to buy his toy at Toy Kingdom. After looking for his toy, we went inside the department store and oh, I saw a mannequin wearing a very sexy beautiful swimsuit. I told myself that it is really summer here now. Sunglasses in different shapes and color were also so attractive. I tried many pairs haha and my son laughed at me. He asked if I will get one, I said no because I have 3 sunglasses here in the house. I just tried if it is looks good for me. Lol.

We went to swim wear section and oh gosh, I wish I have a sexy body like the mannequin wearing the sexy swim suit. But there were swimsuits also for over-sized ladies. They have different styles and designs from simple to a very sexy 2 piece swim suit. I saw a simple and not so sexy design, I like it but I will not buy it even if I have money because I still have my old swimsuit and I only wore that once.

After our window shopping, my son and I ate at Jollibee, my son’s favorite fast food chain. As usual, he ordered again his spaghetti and chicken joy and I ordered the same but mine was hot and spicy. I think my son was so thirsty after we window shopped because he ordered a large glass of softdrink lol. After eating, we went home and we were both so tired from our window shop.

Ring tag

I got this very unique tag from Dhemz (My Life’s Perception & Inspiration) I enjoyed it so much when I tried to follow the instruction and it’s all true. Lol so, here it goes….

Why should the wedding ring be worn on the fourth finger? There is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese..... Thumb represents your Parents

Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings.
Middle finger represents your-Self.
Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner. & the.. .
Last (Little) finger represents your children.

Firstly, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together - back to back.
Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip. (As shown in the figure below):

Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)..., they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.

Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)...., they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.

Now join the Index fingers and separate your Little fingers (representing your children)...., they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.

Finally, join your Little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse). You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT..... because Husband & Wife have to remain together all their lives - through thick and thin!! Please try this out and pass............. ISN'T THIS A LOVELY THEORY?

Now, I want to pass this tag to all of my friends here in blogworld…married or plan to get married…this is for you guys namely: Ady, Alice, Amiable Amy, Augustianians, Beng, Beth, Enhenyero, Cecile, Cutella, Kittykat, Cybercesz, Dhurianne, Enchie, Ghie, Hopeful, Meryl, Pinay na gamay, Ritchiela, Shieangel, Shy, Yen and YOU. Feel free to grab it. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No brownout today

Finally, I am able now to visit my blogs. For the past few days, I didn’t have enough time to work with my blogs because we had brownouts everyday here. It was not whole day brownout but my son was playing to my computer with his cousin and they only stop playing if there was no electric power already. I am glad this morning because my son didn’t want to play his Sponge Bob Square Pants game. Since it’s school vacation already, we woke up late in the morning. When my youngest son stood up his bed this morning, he went straight to the shower, I asked why he showered early and he told me that we will go to the mall today to shop his toy. So, that’s it folks, before going to the mall to shop, I will make quick post to all of my blogs and maybe I will visit my friends here when I come back from the mall. Enjoy your weekend.

Work, Work, Work

A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he can, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he had covered.

Without hesitation, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping his horse so it would go a fast as possible. When he became hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.

It came to a point that when he had already covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was nearly dying, he asked himself, “Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need but a very small area of land to bury myself in”

The above story is similar to the journey of our life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.

One day when we look back, we will realize that we don’t really need that much, but then we cannot turn time back for what we have missed.

Life is not about mainly making money or acquiring power or recognition. Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so that we can enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life. Life is a balanced of Work and Play, Family and Personal time. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities; recognize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence.

So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile, life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy LIFE.

Former Banker Now Delivers Pizzas

The Karpman Family is considered as one of the strongest families now a days. Despite many problems arisen from their family, the couple still stays together and are able to face the new world that they have right now.

Ken Karpman, a graduate from UCLA with a bachelor's degree and M.B. A.. got a high-paying job as an Institutional Equity Sales Trader, earning $750,000 a year and now he's only earning $7.29 per hour as a pizza delivery man.

When times were good, he left to start his own hedge fund – but his timing couldn't have been worse.

"Life was so good, we were making a lot of money --- and why wouldn't this just continue?" Karpman said.

"I had no idea what anything cost in a store" he added, "I'd just put it in the cart and buy.

Now, everything has changed. He has a job but he is just earning $7.29 per hour plus tips. According to Mr. Karpman, it is better to become a pizza delivery man than to borrow money from friends to put food on the table.

I wish that the couple will continue to fight the crisis that they have right now and I wish they won't forget their vows when they got married.....

For richer or for poorer....
For better or for worse....
"Till death do us part.....

Bruce Willis has tied the knot for the second time.

The actor's publicity agency, Rogers & Cowan, says in a statement Sunday that the 54-year-old Willis married Emma Heming in a small, private ceremony at his home in Parrot Cay in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

The couple met through mutual friends more than a year ago.
This is the first marriage for Heming, a 30-year-old model/actress.
Guests included Willis' three daughters from his first marriage to actress Demi Moore: Rumer, 20, Scout, 17, and Tallulah Belle, 14, as well as Moore, and her husband, actor Ashton Kutcher.

The couple plan a civil ceremony when they return to California.

Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actor that is why I post here the latest news about him. He's a great actor for me. I am also fan of Demi Moore, his ex-wife.

Cops seek help…(Killer crocodile ll)

The Provincial Police Director in Caraga sought the help of government agencies and experts in hunting down the 23-foot long crocodile that killed a10 year old girl.

If you remember my previous post, a 10 yr. old girl was killed by a crocodile when she and her classmate, actually a cousin were on their way to their floating school and the crocodile bumped their boat, causing it to capsize. The other girl was rescued by a man in another boat. The victim’s name is Rowena Romano. She was found after 3 days floating at Mahiba Lake in Bunawan Town in Agusan del Sur.

On Feb. 9, 2009, one man was also attacked, allegedly by the same crocodile and supposedly bit the man’s right leg but he was able to get away after hacking at the crocodile’s left eye.

The mayor of the said town ordered the police authorities to get the crocodile alive.

How to dye your own hair?

Oh! My gosh! I am getting older now. The evidence keeps on showing now. You know what I am talking about? I am talking about my gray/white hair.

I asked my son today to pull my gray/white hair. He refused because he said; there are plenty gray/white hair now but short. He told me to dye my hair but I have long hair. How can I dye my own hair? Maybe if it is short, I can easily dye my own hair. And I don’t want to go to the salon because I know; they will charge me higher compared to a short hair.

Oh sad, maybe I will just let my gray/white hair grows just like my parent’s hair. If only there’s a shampoo that will stop the gray/white hair to grow, I will buy that instead of dyeing the hair.

Killer Crocodile

This is shocking news that I read yesterday. A 10 year old girl was killed by a 23-foot crocodile while she and her classmate were on their way to school in Agusan del Sur. ( Mindanao ) on Saturday morning. They were boarding a boat and the crocodile bumped the boat, causing it to capsize. The classmate was rescued by a man escorting the pair in another boat.

It was Tuesday already when the rescuers found the headless body of the girl floating on the lake. It’s a monster salt water crocodile bigger than a bus. The school is temporary closed now and the residents near to the lake were evacuating the place for fear that the killer crocodile will attack again. I feel so sad for the young girl and for her family.

Fushigi Yuugi

This is a Japanese Anime song. My 7 years old son knows how to sing this song. We are not Japanese and we never talked Japanese either but he can sing well this song. This is his favorite TV show here in the Philippines. The title of this TV Anime show is Fushigi Yuugi. Try to play and listen if you can follow this song.

IT IS STRANGE ISN'T IT....

Isn't it strange how
a 20 dollar bill seems like such a
large amount when you donate it to church,
but such a small amount
when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how
2 hours seem so long when you're at church,
and how short they seem when you're watching
a good movie?

Isn't it strange
that you can't find a word to say when you're praying
but you have no trouble thinking what to
talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how
difficult and boring it is to read one chapter
of the Bible but how easy it is to read 100
pages of a popular novel.

Isn't it strange how
everyone wants front-row-tickets to
concerts or games but they do whatever is possible
to sit at the last row in Church?

Isn't it strange
how we need to know about an
event for Church 2-3 weeks
before the day so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events
in the last minute?

Isn't it strange how
difficult it is to learn a
fact about God to share it with others;
but how easy it is
to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange how
we believe everything that magazines and
newspapers say but...
we question the
words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange how
everyone wants a place in heaven but...
they don't want to believe, do,
or say anything to get there?

Isn't it strange how
we send jokes in e-mails and
they are forwarded right away
but when we are going to send
messages about God,
we think about it twice before
we share it with others?

IT'S STRANGE ISN'T IT?

Now that you've read this message,
will you forward it to anybody that
you consider a friend, family member
or foe (enemy).

If you choose
not to share His message you may deprive
yourself from being blessed as well as
depriving others...
who may need God in your life.

Summer Vacation

Wow, next month, no more school here in the Philippines . My youngest son was very happy when he counted the days left for school. He is now preparing his kite. Every summer here, kids love to play by flying their kites. But for my eldest son, he wants to look for a summer job since he is in 3rd year college already. He asked me on how to write a resume.

Well the most important rule when writing a resume is to tell the truth. When you have finished writing your resume, make sure it is accurate as well as complete. If you are not telling the truth on your resume, you can expect one of the following to occur: 1) You’ll get caught; 2) You’ll feel guilty; or 3) Both.

So, I just gave him the basic and important information for a resume and I let him write his resume as a practice to himself. When he was done, I smiled because his resume was just enough for 1 short bond paper. I remember when I was writing my resume, it was 3 pages but I tried to make it 2 pages only. Then I realized that my son has no work experience yet. Well, I hope he can get a job this coming summer. Usually companies here will accept students during summer for 4 hour work days only. And it’s not bad because the salary is based on minimum wage here in Davao .

My brother sent this to me to my yahoo mail. He gave me good laughed when I read the sales pitch of the owner.

Dog for sale

Whether you own a dog or not, you must
appreciate the efforts of this owner to sell her dog

Read the sales pitch!!!

Dog For Sale or Free to good home. Excellent guard dog. Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore, as there are no more drug pushers, thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat.
Most of them knew him as 'Holy Shit.'

Something you should know about Mga Kababayan Ko Lyrics

Title: Francis Magalona - Mga Kababayan Ko lyrics

Artist: Francis Magalona Lyrics

Chorus

Mga kababayan ko
Dapat lang malaman nyo
Bilib ako sa kulay ko
Ako ay pilipino
Kung may itim or may puti
Mayron naman kayumangi
Isipin mo na kaya mong
Abutin ang yung minimithi

Dapat magsumikap para tayoy di maghirap
Ang trabaho mo pagbutihin mo
Dahil pag gusto mo ay kaya mo
Kung kaya mo ay kaya nya
At kaya nating dalawa

Magaling ang atin
Yan ang laging iisipin
Pag asensyo mararating
Kung handa kang tiisin
Ang hirap at pagod sa problema
Wag kang malunod

Repeat chorus

Lahat tayoy magkakapatid
Anong mang mali ay ituwid
Magdasal sa diyos maykapal
Maging banal at wag hangal
Itong tula ay alay ko
Sa inyo at sa buong mundo

Repeat chorus

Golden Family Values

When Mother and Father are calling,
Answer them right away.
Whey they give you directions,
Obey them without hesitation.

When your parents need to instruct you,
Respectfully do as you’re told.
Whenever your parents must scold you,
Acknowledge your errors and faults.

In cold season make sure they are warm,
In the summer make sure they are cool.
Each morning cheerfully greet them,
At night see their rest is secure.

Before going out, tell your parents,
Let them know when you come in.
Settle peacefully in your home,
And finish what you begin.

Summer Time is coming

School vacation is near. All students from Kindergarten to college are busy preparing for their final exams. College students are busy for their thesis, feasibility studies and their final exams also. I met a 2nd year nursing student and she was so worried when I heard her talking to my friend that she needs to know how to build a blog. Her teacher in her computer subject requires them to build a blog. She said, they need to visit their teacher’s blog because that’s the way the teacher will check if they did their project. I told myself, what a great mind of that teacher- blogger. He/She can get traffic from her students only. The teacher requires them to visit everyday as a form of class attendance. Wow, if he or she has 500 students, that’s a lot of traffic.

Maybe the teacher needs more money too, well everybody needs money. It is only how you will get extra money and where you can get that. Summer here means no more work for teachers. If no more work, no salary. So, maybe the teacher will get good money from her students by clicking his/her google ads. Wow, how nice. I wish I am a teacher too.

Anyway because of the economic crisis today, people are trying to find out what other jobs or businesses can help them to survive. Just like this teacher, I can’t blame her/him for doing like that; at least, he/she also helps the students to learn how to get money from their own pocket.

Scrollbars on Sidebar II

Finally, after so many trials and errors, I now have a scrollbar to my sidebars. If you remember my previous post that I was asking my friend Dhemz about her scrollbars, she told me that she posted it already to her blog so I just need to look at it and follow the instructions but I was not able to do it. Then I wrote my saddest, upsetting story on scrollbars.

I was so happy when Vinay Rai visited my blog and he read my article, he then left a comment to my post and he told me that he wanted to help me with my problem. He said, he’s going to post about scrollbars on his next article. He is really a good blogger because he is always willing to share all his experiences and expertise on blogging. All his articles are very useful, effective when you apply it especially on Google AdSense. He talked about a lot of things on Google Ads, how to increase your PR, how to get traffic, tips and a lot more.

If you are a newbie or maybe not really new but you still looking or asking yourself how to increase your earnings on blogging, don’t waste your time. Visit Vinay Rai’s blog. I can guarantee you that you will learn a lot of things from him. And to make sure that you are updated to his posts, why not subscribe to his feed.
And to Vinay Rai, thank you so much for posting step-by-step instructions on how to put scrollbars to my sidebars. And to Dhemz, thank you also for your help. Even if I didn’t make it the first try but at least, you are willing to help me. Thank you so much guys.
